About

Diane Ryan, P. T. earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Physical Therapy from Long Island University. She worked at Maimonides Medical Center for 2 years and then opened her own outpatient physical therapy practice in 1991. Throughout her career, Diane has treated many scoliosis patients with the standard exercises taught in school with limited results. She first heard of the Schroth method from a patient that she had treated with the traditional exercises . Her doctor suggested trying the Schroth method, so Diane did some research and recognized that this approach was vastly different than traditional physical therapy for scoliosis. She attended the Schroth-Barcelona Institute and became Schroth certified.
